The Sports Museum regularly publishes its research findings, collected material, and exhibition catalogues and presents other museum work in monographs and periodicals. In doing so, it aims to widen access to information and knowledge for the general public and to encourage further research into the history of sport.
2023 saw the release of two publications, a bilingual catalogue of the exhibition The Sports Museum: Safeguarding Sports Heritage and an insight into the history of the Sports Museum since 2000, entitled The Sports Museum: A Long Run. In January 2024, a bilingual catalogue was published for the exhibition The Silver Games 1984, which is on display at the National Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia until 5 May 2024.
