Exhibition at Slovenian School Museum \/ Sports Museum Sport is today deeply embedded in our everyday lives, which is why its rich history and far-reaching influence on many other fields are constantly present in our awareness and surroundings. The exhibition We Collect, Research, Revive: Sporting Heritage and the Museum of Sport<\/em> presents the development of numerous disciplines, including gymnastics, cycling, athletics, water sports, skating, skiing, mountaineering and climbing, as well as ball games.<\/p>\n The First Matches, the First Clubs: The Beginnings of Football in Ljubljana<\/strong> ASK Primorje \/ Sports MuseumThe exhibition takes visitors through almost half a century of football development in the city \u2013 from its beginnings and school clubs, through periods of growth and fierce derbies, to the difficult conditions during the Second World War and the symbolic first match in liberated Ljubljana. Today, Ljubljana boasts numerous football clubs, football schools and modern sports facilities, but in the past matches were played on meadows, improvised pitches and even on a former racecourse. The history of football in the capital is rich, dynamic and full of stories about the enthusiasm of young players, the impact of political change, and the rise and fall of many clubs. All of this is vividly presented in the exhibition The First Matches, the First Clubs: The Beginnings of Football in Ljubljana<\/em>, prepared by Dr Ale\u0161 \u0160afari\u010d, Head of the Museum of Sport, and displayed on panels in front of the entrance to the Sto\u017eice Sports Centre.<\/p>\n Stanko Bloudek: Life, Work and Legacy<\/strong> Stanko Bloudek and Swiming center IlirijaWithout the visionary work and financial investment of Stanko Bloudek in 1929, the Ilirija swimming pool would never have opened. With the construction of one of the most modern and highly functional swimming facilities of its time, Ljubljana gained an important new venue that encouraged numerous water-related sporting activities.
