A few days after we opened the exhibition Sports Museum: Safeguarding Sports Heritage, 24. 8. 2023, we invited journalists from Slovenian media outlets who cover sports or culture to join us for breakfast at the Krakovc café in the heart of the exhibition. We wanted to inform them about the situation of the Sports Museum and ask for their support in raising awareness about the importance of the Sports Museum and in acquiring objects and photographs related to Slovenian sporting achievements for our museum collections. Representatives of most of the media outlets accepted our invitation. We concluded the morning meeting with the hope that the status of the Museum will soon be resolved, and its visibility will improve.
