The Conservation-Restoration Department looks after the physical condition of the Museum’s collections. They perform direct conservation-restoration interventions on objects, as well as preventive conservation, which includes indirect interventions on objects (through regular inspections, ensuring proper storage, display, handling, and transport methods, climate and pest control in the depositories and exhibition areas, etc).
