Sports Museum: Safeguarding Sports Heritage in Ljubljana

You are cordially invited to the platform of the renovated Ilirija Sports Center, where the Sports Museum’s billboard exhibition is on display from July 6th until September 1st.

Sports Museum presents its work, its collection policy and the breadth of Slovenia’s sporting heritage. Through a selection of the museum’s objects, it encourages visitors to preserve the sports heritage and emphasises the importance of donating materials and objects to the museum, their protection and the role of the Sports Museum in preserving the memory of sporting achievements. The exhibition was presented for the first time in the center of Ljubljana in 2023, last year after visiting the United States, it moved to the Slovenian coast, in Portorož and this year we are were touring in Laško and now in Ljubljana.
