Athletes and sports workers of the 1984 Sarajevo winter olympics

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Sarajevo Winter Olympic Games, the Sports Museum, together with the National Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia, prepared the exhibition The Silver Games 1984. To be able to cover all the disciplines, we divided them among ourselves and set about acquiring additional material and content, each in their own way. To this end, the Sports Museum held a breakfast with sports workers and athletes who competed in biathlon, cross-country skiing and ski jumping. The response was terrific, and we met some extraordinary people and acquired a number of objects and stories for the exhibition, which we tried to incorporate as much as possible. The exhibition opened on 18 January 2024 at the National Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia.
