The committed work of collecting, preserving, and exhibiting sports heritage, which was initiated by sports societies, enthusiastic individuals, and a few other museums, is now being continued with dedication at the Sports Museum. The exhibition The Sports Museum: Safeguarding Sports Heritage, which is presented in this catalogue, is one of the results of our efforts to bring the sports heritage and past closer to the public.
