Running is one of the elements of athletics and is today the most accessible form of recreation, and one of the main forms of exercise in general. Originally, it was part of human’s struggle for survival, as indicated by prehistoric cave paintings. Later, it also became an integral part of military training. And if on the one hand we have running as a means of movement and survival, it is also a competitive sport, which today consists of several disciplines. Running has been a competitive sport since the ancient Olympic Games. It is very much a part of games, one of which is bat spinning.
Instructions
The player drives the bat into the ground in front of them. They then grasp their right ear with their left hand under their right arm, and hold the bat driven into the ground with their right hand, bent forward. The player then spins around the bat 5–10 times (the number is adjusted to the player’s age). When they stop spinning, they drop the bat and run towards the target and touch it.
If these instructions are too difficult for participants, they can be simplified. The player grasps the bat with both hands and rests their head on the top of the bat. The player then spins around the bat 5–10 times (the number is adjusted to the player’s age). When they stop spinning, they drop the bat and run towards the target and touch it.
The length of the bat is increased or decreased depending on whether a child or an adult is competing. If possible, a tree or bench is chosen as the target. Alternatively, a friend of the competitor can stand at the finish line.
